Where the sauna talk happens.
We put a Golden Designs Klosters barrel at the back of the yard three weeks ago and it has already become the evening routine. Two things I learned: level the gravel pad better than you think you need to, and order the cover at the same time, not after. Happy to answer questions if anyone is on the fence.
Started experimenting with where I aim the ladle. Spreading it across the whole rock pile gives a softer, longer steam for me versus hitting one spot which is sharp and fast. Anyone else play with this?
New owner of an Andermatt with the Harvia stove. Coming from a gym sauna I never had to think about upkeep. What is the actual maintenance rhythm, just stones now and then?
Ordering one of the Golden Designs barrels and trying to decide if the 8kW Harvia stove upgrade is worth it over the standard 6kW. We get real winters here. Anyone running the 6 through the cold months, does it keep up?
My sauna came with a fairly bright light and it kills the mood for me. Swapped to a low warm bulb and it transformed the whole feel. Where do you land, do you want to see clearly or keep it cave dark?
My skin feels a bit dry and tight after sessions and I am just looking for comfort tips. Anyone have a simple after routine?
Want some quiet music but worried the heat and humidity will wreck any speaker I put inside. Are people keeping the speaker outside the room, or is there a setup that survives in there?
first winter with the sauna outside. anything I should do to the outside or the pad before it gets cold?
