6kW or the 8kW Harvia upgrade on the barrels?

Ordering one of the Golden Designs barrels and trying to decide if the 8kW Harvia stove upgrade is worth it over the standard 6kW. We get real winters here. Anyone running the 6 through the cold months, does it keep up?

We have the 8 in our Zurich and I would not go smaller for winter. The 6 is fine for three season use honestly. December is where the extra capacity earns it.

went with the standard 6kW and it holds temp fine into the low 20s, just takes longer to get there. if you're impatient or truly cold climate, upgrade.

8kW here. You get more stone mass on the bigger stove too, so the loyly lasts longer between ladles.
